12/17 - FYHP Coaches Email
Coaches -
I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their contributions to this program. As a volunteer organization, it's truly impressive to see the quantity and quality of coaches and dedication every day at the rink. It was great to see many of you at Saturday night's FHS home opener at Loring. The atmosphere was great, many kids watched the whole game, and FHS opened their season with a dominating 8-1 win.
State Tournament Overview
Congrats to those of you who were successful in your playdown games vs. Natick. Some of you have reached out to ask about dates / locations / information about the state tournament. All of the information can be found on the Mass Hockey website, linked here: https://tournaments.mahockey.org/dateslocations.
As a guide, Framingham is considered a "Large" program.
Tier III are the A teams
Tier IV are the B teams
Tier V are the C teams.
My 10UA team was successful last Tuesday in beating Natick, so I would look for Youth, 10U, Large, Tier III (and see that the dates are 3/21 - 3/23 @ NESC). But all of the information can be found on the site (if you have the patience to dig through it).
For anyone looking to support a local Framingham team tonight, the 12UA team plays Natick at 7:40 PM in Natick. We've played them twice this season, both one-goal games. Last week I was impressed with the number of families that traveled to Natick to support the 10UA team, so hopefully we can get a good turnout tonight, too! If you have an upcoming playdown game and want to promote it, let me know and I'll try to get the word out.
I probably won't send an email next week, but I want to wish everyone a happy holiday. Hopefully you're able to take some time away from the rink for afew days, recharge your batteries with families and loved ones, and prepare for the final stretch of the season.
Best,
Eric
